Questions

How do I know a referral counted?

An organization counts when it signs up after clicking your link, or types your code at signup. It shows in your partner portal straight away.

When do I get paid?

Commission is approved after a short clawback window and paid after each period once your balance reaches the minimum payout.

How am I paid?

By Stripe, straight to your bank account (Stripe collects your bank and tax details, we never see them), or by ACH, check or wire. We need a completed W-9 before the first payment.

Can I offer my contacts a discount?

Not at the moment. Every organization can start with a free trial, and your link takes them straight to it.

Do I have to disclose that I earn a commission?

Yes. Say clearly that you earn a commission when you recommend Commons Kit, as the FTC Endorsement Guides require. Some public bodies also ask vendors to disclose paid intermediaries; follow the rules of the organizations you refer.

Can I refer my own organization?

No. Self-referrals and referrals of organizations you control do not earn commission.
